VIRTUAL COACHING DETAILS

How does virtual coaching work?

To start, we will have an initial, free call to discuss support options. After completing an assessment form, I review your child’s history, current challenges, and your goals. We’ll then meet for a video call to go over your customized potty plan. Depending on the package you choose, you’ll have ongoing access to me via text, call, or email, whether daily or on your selected coaching days, to troubleshoot, adjust strategies, and celebrate progress together.

What’s the difference between 1:1 Coaching and Flexible Coaching?

1:1 Coaching provides daily access and structured support throughout the process. Flexible Coaching gives you a set number of “coaching days” to use as needed within a 2-month window, ideal for children who only need targeted help with poop challenges.

What is a “coaching day”?

Coaching days apply to the Flexible Support option and are days when we engage in more in-depth support. This might include extended text conversations, phone calls, or emails to review progress, adjust strategies, or troubleshoot challenges. It may also involve creating or modifying visuals like first-then boards, reinforcement tools, or choice boards.

Quick check-ins or brief questions that only need short replies do not count as a coaching day, you’re welcome to send those anytime.

For 1:1 Coaching packages, each day is considered a coaching day and includes daily access and feedback as part of your plan.

Can I switch from Flexible Coaching to daily coaching?

Yes! If you start with Flexible Coaching and decide you’d benefit from more consistent support, you can upgrade to a 1:1 Coaching package.

What if we need to pause?

I understand that life happens, and sometimes, kids just aren’t quite ready to move forward in the toilet training process. It’s important to follow your child’s lead. Some coaching packages include the option to pause and resume later. We’ll review those details together before you start so you know exactly what to expect.

WHO THIS IS FOR

What age is this best for?

Most families I work with have children who are 24 months and older. If you are just starting to explore potty learning for the first time or you’ve already tried and hit roadblocks, I’ll meet you where you are and tailor a plan to your child’s developmental level.

What if my child is constipated?

Constipation needs to be addressed before beginning potty learning. It can significantly interfere with progress and lead to withholding, accidents, or discomfort. The goal is one soft bowel movement per day. I recommend reaching out to your child’s pediatrician to help with this process before starting toilet training.

Will this work for a child with autism or developmental delays?

Yes. I have experience in working with children who have autism, ADHD, global developmental delays, and other neurodevelopmental differences. My approach is individualized, strengths-based, and rooted in behavioral science to support your child’s unique learning needs.

How do I know if my child is ready to start potty learning?

Readiness isn’t just about a specific age, it’s about having the right skills and support in place. I take a family-centered approach, helping you assess your child’s readiness across social, communication, and motor domains, while also considering whether your family is in a good place to start. When needed, I can support you in building those skills to set everyone up for success.

We’ve tried everything and nothing is working—can you still help?

Yes. Many of the families I work with have already tried books, weekend plans, or advice from well-meaning friends. I provide tailored support using behavioral science and a child-centered approach that fits your family.

Do you think rewards should be part of the potty training process?

Yes. Rewards can be a helpful tool to motivate children to try something new or challenging, especially when it comes to potty learning. Using the right reward helps build positive associations and encourages participation early on. As children build confidence and comfort with their new skills, they typically become more intrinsically motivated, which means they no longer need the external reward. My goal is always to fade rewards quickly and naturally as progress is made.

Do you help with nighttime training?

Yes, I can support families with nighttime training, especially when children are older and motivated to stay dry overnight, such as for camp or sleepovers.

For many children, nighttime dryness develops naturally within a few weeks or months after daytime training is successful. Outside of that, there is often a strong genetic component to overnight wetting, which means some children may simply need more time.

If your child is consistently wet overnight but motivated to stay dry, I can help you put a plan in place to support this goal.

REFUNDS & EXPECTATIONS

What if this doesn’t work for us

Potty learning is a process, and progress is rarely linear. I provide data-driven strategies, structured support, and ongoing adjustments to help your child succeed. If you’re feeling unsure about continuing, we can discuss options such as pausing or adjusting your plan.

Because of the time, preparation, and scheduling that goes into each coaching relationship, refunds are not available once your agreement is signed.
